A new place

Hi. I’m Alex. I’m gonna start blogging here again, now that I’ve finished my Ph.D. and have time to write about fun things again. I wanted to just briefly make this post so that I can create some continuity between this new place and the place I used to write at, Benefits of a Classical Education. I stopped writing there just as I started my Ph.D. program at OSU, and now I’m finished with that I’m gonna get back at it.

This will primarily be a place where I can post brief (well, relatively brief, compared to a dissertation) essays about movies and occasionally other things. I don’t have a schedule or anything like that, so your best bet is to follow me on a social media platform like bluesky or instagram for updates on when I post something new.

Finally, I’m still going to use this as a place for a photography portfolio and occasional writing about photography. Check out the links for more.
